Autor Foods Reinforces its Role as a Private Label ‘Partner’ at the PLMA Fair

Autor Foods attended the “World of Private Label” international trade show, organized by Private Label Manufacturers Association (PLMA) in Amsterdam (the Netherlands) on 21 and 22 May in order to reinforce its role as a ‘partner’ in the production of tinned conventional pulses and organic pulses under distributor brands. The PLMA fair has been gathering retailers, wholesalers and other distributor brand professionals for more than 30 years to facilitate contact with manufacturers and generate new business opportunities in a sector where it already represents 40% of the total products sold in the main European countries. It is in this context that Autor Foods can be an ally since nearly 70% of our production goes out onto the market under different distributor brands corresponding to large retail food companies in Spain and abroad. “Our production capacity exceeds 72 million units a year, which allows us to absorb the most demanding consumers. Plus, we’re able to offer very competitive pricing,” indicates José Luis Díez, Managing Director of Autor Foods, who represented the company at the fair. Along with Autor Foods, another hundred Spanish food companies attended the PLMA trade show. All of them were in the Spanish pavilion with support from the Spanish Food and Beverage Industries Federation (FIAB), which has been working for more than 40 years on developing a sector that is committed to innovation and food safety. “We very much identify with these premises of innovation and food safety. They’re the values we’ve highlighted at PLMA,” mentioned Díez. To this end, he recalled that Autor Foods has just “revalidated its IFS food safety and quality certification with a score of 97.80 out of 100”. What’s more, he added that “the R&D&i department is constantly working to continue expanding the line of products, which already has a dozen different references”.
